After Brayden Burries scored 28 points to help Arizona beat Alabama 96-75, Crimson Tide coach Nate Oats noted that he liked watching Burries as a recruit but had seen him struggle until Saturday's game.

The freshman went 1 for 6 from 3 in the first half on Saturday, after which Alabama led 41-39. With Burries help, Arizona took down Alabama 96-75.
After scoring 28 points against Alabama, Brayden Burries was named to the Big 12's "Starting Five," while Kansas' Melvin Council was named the league's Player and Newcomer of the Week.
