There's something cool planned at the Children's Museum Tucson every Sunday through Labor Day.
By cool, we mean it's inexpensive, indoors and fun.
STEAM Sundays are filled with activities, crafts and special guests with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and or Mathematics.
This Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids and their dads can play chess on regular game boards or the extra large version with 9 Queens, a non-profit organization that provides chess instruction to promote critical thinking skills, academic performance and self-confidence.
From 1 to 4 p.m., you can get up close and personal with a king snake. You'll also learn about animal skulls with Cooper Center for Environmental Learning.
Admission to STEAM Sundays is $3.
The Children's Museum Tucson is located at 200 S. Sixth Ave.
