Blinken: Bucha was a 'deliberate campaign to kill'
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken says Russia's atrocities in Bucha were "a deliberate campaign to kill, to torture, to rape," and says the world must hold those responsible accountable. Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews before flying to Brussels for meetings of NATO and Group of Seven foreign ministers, Blinken said the reports out of Bucha "are more than credible. The evidence is there for the world to see." He also reinforced the determination of countries around the world to hold those responsible to account and to support Ukraine. "This reinforces our determination and the determination of countries around the world to make sure that one way or another, one day or another, there is accountability for those who committed these acts, for those who ordered them," Blinken said. "There's also a strong determination to make sure that we're doing everything we can to continue to support Ukraine and its brave fight to push the Russian aggression out of Ukraine." The Secretary of State said the U.S. and its allies are working "to put the evidence together'' to back efforts of Ukraine's prosecutor general and UN Human Rights Council's inquiry.
