'Zero Waste' challenge

UA plans to station green-vested “Compost Cats” at trash stations throughout McKale Center Thursday night to help UA fans in a Pac-12 competition to see which school can reduce the most waste possible waste via recycling, composing or reusing.

Colorado may have a head start. It already boasts of having the “First NCAA Division I zero waste stadium and athletic program.”
