The opening of Tucson Holiday Ice, the annual pop-up ice rink in downtown Tucson, which was scheduled for Nov. 23, has been delayed until Nov. 29.
An equipment failure caused the delay, the city of Tucson and Rio Nuevo announced. Replacement parts are on order, and crews are working to complete repairs.
Tickets can be purchased online now for skate sessions Nov. 29 through Jan. 4 at the rink, outside of the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave.
Guests who purchased tickets for dates affected by the delay will receive automatic refunds. For questions, call 520-791-4101 (option 1), weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Skate sessions, which run for 90 minutes, are priced at $22 for adults and $15 for kids younger than 12. If you visit for the first session of the day, you’ll be able to pay a discounted price of $12 for adults and $8 for kids. Times vary based on the day. The rink will be closed on Christmas Day.
