Baby zoo animals

Five baby cheetahs, photographed on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at five weeks old, were born at Metro Richmond Zoo on October 6, 2013, in Chesterfield, Va., just outside Richmond. There are three males and two females. The birth of the cheetahs doubles the population of cheetahs born in captivity in the USA. By breeding cheetahs on his first try, Jim Andelin, the owner and director of the Metro Richmond Zoo, pulled off something of a coup. The as-yet-unnamed cubs, and their mother, Lana, are the stars of the Richmond Cheetah Cam, which went live Friday on TimesDispatch.com.
