Two weeks after its first Tucson-area location opened, Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is planning its second.
Freddy's will build a new restaurant on a 3,309-square-foot pad at Circle Plaza Shopping Center, on the southeast corner of Broadway and Kolb Road. The opening will likely be in spring 2013, restaurant officials said.
Freddy's specializes in frozen custard, burgers and fries. It is the second Midwest burger and custard chain to come to Tucson this year; the first was Culver's, which opened last fall on Thornydale Road, about a mile from Freddy's location at 3725 W. Orange Grove Road.
