Latin heartthrob Chayanne returns to AVA
Those deeply penetrating eyes, gazing intensely right through your heart as he croons those sugar-sweet lyrics to "Me Enamoré de Ti" (I fell in love with you).
It is the latest hit from the 41-year-old Puerto Rican pop star and heartthrob, off his just-released record "No Hay Imposibles." It's his 22nd album.
He's had audiences swooning since he was a bubbly teen in the early 1980s, cranking out dance songs with the boy band Los Chicos.
By the time Chayanne - whose real name is Elmer Figueroa - went solo in the late 1980s, he had matured vocally enough to hold his own. He came out of the gate with a pair of Top 5 hits including the ballad "Peligro de Amor."
Chayanne's concerts have been consistent sellouts - including past appearances at Casino del Sol's AVA, where he will perform Saturday. It's his first Tucson show since 2004.

Last 'Lost' in hi-def on Loft's big screen
Nearly six years ago, Americans watched a group of plane crash survivors crawl onto the beach after their L.A.-bound flight crashed on a seemingly deserted island.
Since then, the survivors of Flight 815 have endured the creaky smoke monster, the Others, as well as an endless string of flashbacks, flash forwards and even flash sideways.
What does it all mean? Is everyone trapped in hell? Is Jack "the one"?
Maybe we'll all find out, but chances are, the ground-breaking series will still leave some mystery.
On Sunday, The Loft Cinema will host a high-definition simulcast of the "Lost" series recap and the final episode, commercials and all, on its big screen.
Admission is free, and you can pick up tickets at the Loft, 3233 E. Speedway. Limit two tickets per person, and tickets do not guarantee seating.
Sponsored by Mix-FM and KGUN-TV, the screening will be strictly first-come, first-seated.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. Sunday. The series recap airs at 6, followed by the 2 1/2-hour final episode at 8.
Magic, music of 'Star Wars' coming to Tucson Arena

Tickets $23-$73 at ticketmaster.com
See Friday's The Arts section for an interview with Daniels.
Civil rights, music partner at the Loft on Wednesday
Some of today's biggest artists - John Legend, Joss Stone, Blind Boys of Alabama and Wyclef Jean among them - reflect on the civil rights movement in the documentary "Soundtrack For A Revolution."
The movie dusts off the freedom songs sung from the picket lines and the backs of police vans. The documentary will screen as part of the Loft Cinema's One Hit Wonders series at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Regular admission prices apply.
