Tucson police have identified a 23-year-old man who died days after a rollover crash on the city's north side.
About 1:30 a.m. April 12, Angel Said Matuz Barrera lost control of a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup as it entered the curve from eastbound West Miracle Mile on to southbound North Oracle Road, police said in a news release.
The truck slid sideways, struck a raised median and rolled over several times, police said.
Barrera was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle, the release said.
Investigators were notified April 16 that Barrera had died at the hospital.
"Investigators were unable to evaluate the driver for impairment due to the severity of his injuries," the release said. "Additionally, the driver did not have a valid driver’s license."
