Summer mixed chorus
• What: Second annual mixed chorus is designed for participants to keep up their singing chops during the summer, when most choruses go on break.
• Sponsored by: Southern Arizona Women's Chorus.
• Who: Experienced men and women choristers.
• When: 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays starting June 6 through July 25.
• Where: Ascension Lutheran Church, 1220 W. Magee Road.
• Cost: $50 per person.
• Concert: July 29 at Ascension.

Tucson cello workshop
• What: Inaugural workshop features guided practices, master classes and ensemble workshops.
• Sponsored by: Acclaimed Tucson cellist Theodore Buchholz, who is a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and teaches at Pima Community College.
• Who: Cellists 9 years old and up.
• When: July 18 to 22. Daily workshops are broken up by age - 9-13, 10 a.m. to noon; high schoolers, 1-3 p.m.; adult cellists, 5-7 p.m.

Young artists in chamber music
• What: Inaugural workshop is geared toward violinists, violists and cellists who want to play in chamber ensembles of trios, duos and quartets.
• Sponsored by: Yvonne Creanga and Theodore Buchholz.
• Who: Kids 12 and older, and adults.
• When: Two daily sessions - 10 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., June 20-23.
• Where: St Philip's in the Hills Church, 4440 N. Campbell Ave.
• Cost: $150 for one daily session, $220 for both. Scholarships available.
