The Moscow Ballet is coming to Tucson to mount the "Great Russian Nutcracker," and it's inviting some young Tucson dancers to join them on stage.
But you first have to audition.
• Why would you: Hello, it's the Moscow Ballet doing one of the great pieces in the Russian repertoire. What better defines the holidays than the Nutcracker ballet?
• Who can: Experienced dancers from 7 to 16 years old.
• When: 6 p.m. next Friday.
• Where: A Tucson Dance Company/Breakout Studios, 522 N. Fourth Ave.
• What you need: Dress in dance attire and bring your Pointe shoes.
• The prize: A chance to appear alongside Moscow Ballet dancers in two performances at Fox Tucson Theatre and to work with expert Russian teacher and dancer Tatiana Casian.
