Bisbee-based comedian Doug Stanhope is swooping into Plush on Nov. 29 with Kristine Levine, a comedian who is cut from the same cloth as he is.
Levine is irreverent, curses like a cowboy, and mines the lower depths of human decency for comic fodder, much in the same vein as Stanhope.
Expect to hear Levine, who appeared on the Emmy-winning sitcom “Portlandia,” rant about her weight and the weight of her three children in nonfamily-friendly language, as well as add her thoughts on and suggestions for Miley Cyrus. That’s in addition to waxing poetic on the merits of drinking, the intricacies of life’s toll on our body parts, and other topics that are not quite ready for primetime, unless you are safely entrenched in the deep recesses of cable TV.
In a posting on her Facebook page, Levine said she hoped her appearance with Stanhope would “give Mr. Stanhope that bump in his career he needs.”
