If you live on the eastside, your burger options are expanding — and so may your waistline.
A Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is under construction at Broadway and Kolb in the Michaels shopping plaza. The site used to be Overboard Seafood & Grill and before that Long John Silver’s.
Freddy’s is expected to open in November, according to officials at corporate headquarters in Wichita, Kan.
There’s already one Freddy’s in Marana, which opened in December.
The new Freddy’s, just like the one in Marana located on Orange Grove and Thornydale roads, will be just down the road from Culver’s, which also specializes in frozen custard and burgers. Also just down Kolb Road is In-N-Out Burger.
