Tickets go on sale Saturday for funnyman Carlos Mencia's first Tucson show in four years.
Mencia returns to Desert Diamond Casino's Diamond Entertainment Center Aug. 23 and his longtime fans might be surprised by his appearance. The once plump comedian shed 70 pounds since his last show here. Recent pictures indicate not all the weight was lost forever, but Mencia is still noticeably smaller than last we saw him.
Tickets start at $30 and it's an 18-and-older show.
Tickets (starting at $25) also go on sale Saturday for funk rockers War, who play the Diamond Center at 1100 W. Pima Mine Road Sept. 6.
