John Hennessy dresses as St Patrick as he walks down South Stone Avenue during the St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in the downtown area. Hennessy’s father was the first to dress as the famed saint in Tucson’s parade for the first 10 years of the celebration. The parade went along Stone Ave and through downtown to Armory Park, the site of the festival. Irish music, dancing, children’s games, food and merchandise abounded. There were also Irish organizations, ethnic and cultural tables set up throughout the park as well.
