A new Midtown eatery specializing in Spanish tapas is open.
Tapas Fusion moves into the space formerly occupied by Elle at 2970 N. Campbell Ave., in Campbell Plaza at Glenn Street. Longtime friends Mary Bellin and chef Violeta Rodriguez are partners in the eatery that merges Rodriguez's Peruvian heritage with culinary influences from Spain and Italy, where Rodriguez trained.
The menu includes plenty of tapas - which hail from Spain and are smaller-portion meals like appetizers - along with full-size dinners including specialties like asparagus risotto, Peruvian rotisserie chicken and seafood ceviche.
Entrees range from $13-$20.
Bellin said they plan to introduce dishes from other parts of the world and hope to soon be open for Sunday brunch.
Tapas Fusion is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays and 11 a.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays.
