Long Island medium Theresa Caputo can channel just so many spirits in a two-hour show.
Maybe that's why she's doing two shows in Tucson — at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, and Saturday, Oct. 7 — at Desert Diamond Casino, 1100 W. Pima Mine Road. Doors open at 7 each night and tickets are $39.50 to $89.75 through startickets.com
We had a chance to chat with Caputo this week. No, we didn't ask her to conjure up the spirits of our loved ones, although it was tempting. Those things can only be done in person and as the spirit moves her, she was quick to note.
But here are three things we did find out about her show, which she takes around the country several months out of the year when she isn't filming her popular TV series "Long Island Medium" for TLC. She's midway into filming season eight; she'll finish up once she comes off the road of this latest tour in late November.

• So many spirits, so little time: "I can only channel so many souls in a two-hour period. I can guarantee you it will be an amazing experience. I can guarantee you it will change your life in a positive way."
• I can't make this up: "“Spirit is able to validate for us that there is truly more to life. I can’t make it up. There are common things that spirit life talks about. There are things that your loved ones are going to bring up that no one (except you) will know. They also are telling you about things after death. And it's up to the spirit. ... Spirits talk about things only you would know. It’s not about believing in what I do. I want you to know that you still have that bond connection with your loved one."
• I'm not afraid of no ghost: " I may be afraid of the dark but I'm never afraid of the spirits. They make me sense and feel things that might be a little uncomfortable but Ive never been afraid. .... I feel them, I sense them, It is not scary. I do not see them as we see in the physical world.“
Caputo, who started sensing spirits when she was 4 and was a practicing medium for years before landing her TV show eight years ago, said she's a fan of Tucson, and it's not because we have special spirits.
"I think Tucson is amazing," she said. "It's so peaceful. It's gorgeous no matter when you come. I’m so excited I get to spend two nights in Tucson."
