Alice Cooper, the granddaddy of shock-rockers, is coming to Tucson next month.
The Phoenix-area resident will be here in support of his latest album, "Along Came A Spider," which is his 25th.
The classic rocker turned 60 this year, and the heavy makeup he wears may be working in his favor these days: He looks the same as ever.
Cooper will play Casino del Sol's AVA on Sept. 9. No ticket information has been released yet.
Also stopping by next month: DJ Quik, the veteran rapper who's straight outta Compton, Calif.
Quik made a name working with fellow West Coast hip-hop artists like Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
Quik will play an all-ages show at the Rialto Theatre on Sept. 4, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22. Call 740-1000.
