At Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards show in Las Vegas, baby-faced country newcomer Hunter Hayes won over the crowd when he sang 90 seconds of his hit song "Storm Warning."
Imagine what the reaction will be tonight when he sings the full song at the Rialto Theatre?
The 20-year-old Louisiana native is the real deal in country music, an artist who sings, plays his own instruments on his records and in concert, and writes his own material.
A primer: Hayes has been singing since he was a toddler - literally. At age 4, he played shows in his hometown and sang "Jambalaya" with Hank Williams Jr. in front of 200,000 people; another 15 million caught the performance on YouTube. When he was 6, according to the bio posted on his website, he appeared with Robert Duvall in "The Apostle."
While still in single digits, Hayes shared the stage with Johnny and June Cash and Charlie Daniels; performed for President Bill Clinton; and sung on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show."
