The psychedelic-pop quintet Holy Rolling Empire has a new vinyl EP, "Noise Will Be Noise" that gets back to basics.
"We spent so long with the first record trying to perfect and overproduce everything that we sort of lost sight of what this is really all about - having fun and getting people moving," singer Orin Shochat says in press materials.
In June, the band set out on a West Coast tour to support the new EP.
Formed in 2005, Holy Rolling Empire was formerly known as The Crowd. But the band decided to change its name in 2007 so as not to be confused with a California group with the same name.
Tucson-based label Burning House signed Holy Rolling Empire in January 2008. The band released "Gigantus" in 2009, recorded at Tucson's Loveland Studio.
Holy Rolling Empire recorded its new EP without a label. The band plans to release more new music later this year.
