Story: Tigger came to PACC when his owner passed away. He can look shy at first, but is quite social, affectionate and will use any excuse to sit on your lap. He’s been doing great with all the kitties and people here at the shelter.

Story: Socks is a loving 78-pound female who is very bonded with Irwin, a charming 13 1/2 year old, 22-pound rat terrier mix. Socks watches out for Irwin, and they will be adopted together.

Story: Batty is recovering from a broken leg that has healed perfectly. He is ready to find a new home. He is an over-the-top delightful boy who loves dogs and humans, but not cats.

Story: Marci is a super girl that loves to play and hug all at the same time. She loves people and and listens well. She is also learning to love squeaky toys, food and treats. Marci needs to be in a home with no cats or small dogs.

BOB — TUXEDO

Story: Bob came to us dirty and thin, he is now healthy, loving and ready for a home of his own. Bob gets along great with cats in his foster home. He needs an indoor-only home, without dogs. He will do well with kids and most situations.
Fee: $40, includes microchip, spaying and current shots.

AUTUMN — TREEING WALKER COONHOUND
Age: 11 years.
Story: The shelter estimates her age to be 11. However, her foster mom thinks she is younger, maybe 8 to 10. She is able to jog two miles with her foster mom, but really she just prefers to sleep on the couch. She gets along fine with other dogs in her foster home, but she would also be fine as an only dog. She has met cats and kids and has done fine with both. Although Autumn has valley fever, a common fungal infection here in the southwest, she has absolutely no symptoms. However, two local veterinarians believe that she should be treated with valley fever meds. She will need to be on fluconazole for an uncertain amount of time. This medication is approximately $50 per month from our pharmacy.

NACHO — DSH GINGER
Age: 1 years.
Story: Nacho is a talkative boy who loves people, and wants to know what you’re doing, but who doesn’t care for other cats. He’s active and loves to play and explore, and would love his very own human to explore boxes and wand-toys with. Nacho needs to be an “only” cat, as he’s not fond of other cats. He needs a human of his own who understands how amazing cardboard boxes are.

PARKER — BORDER COLLIE MIX
Age: 5 months.
Story: Parker loves big and small dogs, uses the doggie door and is working on crate training. He plays well with other dogs and is learning how fun toys and bones can be. Parker needs an active home ready for puppy antics and play. Would do best with a companion fur friend to keep him busy and out of trouble.

TANK — BORDER COLLIE MIX
Age: 1 year.
Story: Tank is a big, beautiful, fun boy who was given up because his owners didn’t have the time to give him. He loves to play with his giant horse jolly ball and is fantastic with kids 9 and up. He likes to be the center of attention and would do best in a home with no other pets.
CORNELIUS — GREY TABBY
Age: 11 months.
Story: Cornelius is a cuddly playful kitty that was brought in from the closing Wilcox shelter. He has had a rough start in his life and needs a loving person to take him home. Cornelius is FIV positive. He needs to go to a home with no other cats and kept indoors. He’s a wonderful kitty and would love to come snuggle and play.
TEDDY — QUARTER HORSET
Age: 14 years.
Story: Teddy is an old ranch horse, 14.3HH, sweet temperament, gets along well with other horses. Teddy has an old leg injury and arthritis in both front knees preventing him from being rideable. Needs a large turn-out. He would make a great companion horse.
