Arizona marble is used in the entry court of the Bennet G. Grossmans' home at 5701 E. Ninth St. The same material provides indoor planters within the home as well as the fireplace wall. A door of ornamental wrought iron opens into the front grounds of the house.

In a view from the kitchen one sees through to the living room. Fireplace to the left is in the dining room. Backing up to that is another in the patio.

The Grossmans' sons share this 22-by-18-foot room. Walls and curtains are aqua and bedspreads are striped in tones of bright turquoise, green and purple. Floor is tiled on off white and blue. Drawers of builtins on one wall are finished in alternating shades of white, purple, green and yellow.

A metal carving of a Roman garden in tones of gold hangs above the davenport in the living room. The davenport is upholstered in an off-white silk fabric in a raised design.

The fireplace of Arizona marble serves both the living room and the den. Wall to the left in the den is of handmade tile copied from a temple in Mexico City. Sculptures of three idols are mounted on the wall.

A Victorian sofa in gold brocade is seen in the sitting room area of the master bedroom suite. The chair, an antique from Mrs. Grossman's family, is covered in antique white satin. Bath beyond is in green tile and sunken tub is done in black tile. Doors open from the bath directly onto the pool.

Daughter Harrie Ann, 8, occupies the room seen beyond this bath which is between her room and that of her brothers. Yellow and blue tile are used in the bath. Harrie Ann has twin mahogany four-poster beds, the same ones which were used by her mother when she was a little girl. Yellow cotton curtains are printed in little ducks.
