'Fan-demonium' an origin story: Alan Pergament
Buffalo News television critic Alan Pergament describes the time he mistakenly credited hallowed Bill play-by-play announcer Van Miller with coining the term "Fan-demonium" when he made the term famous during an iconic play call in 1993. Miller insisted the now-legendary phrase was his, however Bills great Darryl Talley used the term to describe the scene after the Bills won the AFC Championship in 1988. Talley's comment was documented by New reporter Gene Warner, resulting in the 1988 headline " 'Fan-demonium' Breaks Out After Bills Clinch Division Title."
