A 19-year-old woman found dead outside of a South Side home Tuesday died from a self inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said today.
Jessica Bojorquez was found on the ground near a home in the 6800 block of South Van Buren Avenue, near East Benson Highway and East Valencia Road, late Tuesday morning, said Deputy Jeff Donovan, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman.
Authorities had received a 911 call of a dead body near the home, Donovan said. Bojorquez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Star does not normally report on suicides. However, the cause of death was under investigation Tuesday and was reported in Wednesday's paper.
