A 34-year-old man was kidnapped from a Southwest Side home early Friday then tortured and beaten before being found by Pima County Sheriff's Department deputies about six hours after his abduction, an official said.
The man was found about 8 a.m. Friday in the 6600 block of South San Fernando Road, near South 12th Avenue and West Valencia Road, and was taken to a hospital, said Deputy Dawn Hanke, a Sheriff's Department spokeswoman.
About 2:20 a.m. three armed intruders busted into a house in the 2500 block of West Vereda De Gente, near West Valencia and South Mission roads, Hanke said.
At that time they kidnapped the 34-year-old man, Hanke said. Three others, a man, woman and boy, were in the house when the intruders burst in, she said.
Hanke didn't know if the kidnappers targeted the man or if they demanded drugs or money when they came in the house. She also didn't know who called 911 to report the kidnapping.

A motive for the kidnapping hasn't been established, she said.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department robbery assault team is investigating the case and are still looking for the home invaders, Hanke said.
No further information was immediately available.
