Chalk up another 13,558 Erie County ballots cast Saturday on the eighth day of early voting for the 2020 general election, bringing the total to 151,345 since the process began on Oct. 24.
According to Commissioners Jeremy J. Zellner and Ralph M. Mohr of the Board of Elections, that compares to 26,514 during the entire nine days of early voting in 2019. The eight-day early voting total constitutes 24% of Erie County’s nearly 630,000 registered voters.
Erie County offers 37 early voting locations (available at www.elections.erie.gov), all of which are open to voters regardless of address.
Sunday is the last day for early voting in 2020, with polls open from noon to 6 p.m. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Election Day.
