The Erie County Board of Elections announced Thursday that 22,302 ballots were cast on the sixth day of voting for Tuesday's general election.
Commissioners Ralph M. Mohr and Jeremy J. Zellner said in a statement that since early voting began Saturday, and based on numbers adjusted overnight since Wednesday, there have been 115,217 ballots cast in Erie County, compared to only 26,514 during the entire nine days of early voting in the 2019 general election.
The six-day combined early voting total constitutes 18.2% of Erie County’s nearly 630,000 registered voters, according to the commissioners.
Erie County has 37 early voting locations, and voters may use any site, regardless of address.
