Avid Tucson music fans gathered in the heat Sunday at the Pima County Fairgrounds ready with sunscreen for the face, hats for the shade and cold drinks in hand to rock out to classic bands.
The lineup for KLPX's 30th Anniversary X-Fest, billed as the largest classic rock festival in Southern Arizona, included Styx, Eddie Money, War, Great White, Ratt and REO Speedwagon.
The gates to the fairgrounds, 11300 S. Houghton Road, opened at noon and the bands played past 10 p.m. with REO Speedwagon finishing the lineup.
Along with the music, fans enjoyed an array of food from vendors such as eegee's and Rubio's.
The event was sponsored by Budweiser American Ale, Jim Click dealerships, Catalina Mart and KLPX.
