A Tucson teenager who admitted kidnapping an 80-year-old Tucson man, robbing him and leaving him in the desert was sentenced to seven years in prison Tuesday.
Adrian Brasher, 19, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and theft of means of transportation in the case and was sentenced by Pima County Superior Court Judge Howard Fell, said Deputy Pima County Attorney Dan Nicolini. The maximum Brasher could have received under his plea agreement was 10 years, Nicolini said.
The victim was at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet last October when he offered to give Brasher and Gerardo Jose Hidalgo, 19, a ride, Nicolini said.
As he was driving, the men asked the victim to pull over, then used a stun gun on him and held a knife to his throat, threatening to kill him, court documents show.
The men then drove the man around, asking for his bank information and stealing his wallet with cash and credit cards inside.

They took the man to a desert area on the Northwest Side, tied him up, left him and took off in his truck.
The victim was able to get loose after several hours and made his way to a nearby home, where 911 was called.
Two days later, Brasher and Hidalgo used the man’s keys to burglarized his house and steal another one of his vehicles, Nicolini said.
The men were arrested after a deputy spotted Hidalgo driving the victim's truck.
Hidalgo has been declared incompetent to stand trial and is going through a competency restoration program, Nicolini said.
