Women of all ages turned out for seven hours of shopping during the Girl's Night Out Shopping Extravaganza last Thursday at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, 7000 N. Resort Drive.
With more than 60 vendors selling clothing, jewelry, cosmetics and other health and beauty items, there was something for everyone.
"I'm starting my Christmas shopping early," Michelle Peebler said as she browsed through jewelry at the Calle Rose exhibit. "There's a great variety, and the prices are reasonable."
The event drew about 1,000 shoppers, and a portion of the proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Caroline Straub and seven other St. Pius Seniors arrived in a group.
"We came to support the cause," Straub said after getting a free demonstration of organic skin care and makeup.
