A man who was shot to death at a North Side home late last month has been identified as a 19-year-old Mexican citizen.
Fernando Augustine Luzania-Coronado was killed after getting into a struggle with an Oro Valley man who was kidnapped and was attempting to escape.
No arrests have been made in connection with the case, said Sgt. Mark Robinson, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
He gave the following account of the events that led up to the shooting:
Sarayut “Bill” Tilley was involved in the management of a rental property that was being used to store a substantial amount of marijuana, which later was stolen.
Luzania-Coronado and two others thought that Tilley, 41, was involved in the theft and kidnapped him on April 19.

Tilley was being held at a home in the 1600 block of East Roger Road where he remained until he saw a chance to escape.
As he attempted to get away, Tilley got into a struggle over a gun with Luzania-Coronado but was able to get control of the weapon and shot him with it.
One of the unidentified captors then shot Tilley.
Tucson police went to the home after receiving reports of a shooting and found Tilley suffering from gunshot wounds.
During the same time frame, Luzania-Coronado was dropped off at Tucson Medical Center but was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
No charges have been filed in connection with the kidnapping or either shooting, Robinson said.
Police are still working to identify the two captors who have not been caught.
