The Tucson Festival of Books at the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Have announced plans to see Noam Chomsky at the 2015 book fest. This free, ticketed event is in partnership with The Nation Magazine and University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

How can I get tickets to attend Chomsky’s session at the Tucson Festival of Books?
General admission tickets must be picked up in person at the Centennial Hall Box Office. Tickets are available on the day of the session, March 15, beginning at noon from the box office (1020 E. University Blvd.). Max of four tickets per person, please.

Can seats be reserved in advance?
Sorry, but general admission tickets cannot be reserved in advance online or by calling the Centennial Hall Box Office. Because of the anticipated demand, this session is being hosted at Centennial Hall, a special large-capacity venue (seats 2,500) with a different ticketing system from the other sessions at the Tucson Festival of Books. Only sponsors of the event have limited reserved seating.
How early do I need to get there to make sure I get a ticket to Centennial Hall?
As with any free event, we cannot anticipate the demand. We encourage you to pick up your ticket as early as possible on March 15 after the Centennial Hall box office opens at noon.
Where can I park?
Visitors to the Tucson Festival of Books may park free-of-charge in any of the garages, permitted spaces, or surface lots available on the UA campus with the exception of:
- Second Street Garage (reserved for authors and festival VIP’s)
- Designated handicapped spaces (always reserved for those with handicapped permits)
- Locations designated as 24-hour reserved spaces
The nearest garage to Centennial Hall is the Tyndall Avenue Garage (address 880 E. Fourth St.), just east of Euclid Ave. and south of University Blvd.

Can I bring large bags and backpacks to the interview?
We encourage audience goers to leave backpacks and large bags at home. For security purposes, there will be a bag check upon entrance to Centennial Hall.
Will there be a sig- language interpreter at the interview?
Yes. Reserved seating area will be provided for hearing impaired. Upon your arrival, please let the ushers know and they will direct you.
Will there be an overflow site in case I can’t get into Centennial Hall?
Yes, there will be three overflow locations within short walking distance to Centennial Hall:
- Social Sciences Building, Room 100
- Cesar Chavez Building, Room 111
- CESL (Center for English as a Second Language), Room 102
Will the interview be streamed or taped?
The lecture will not be streamed live, but it will be videotaped and available for viewing within a few weeks of the interview. You will be able to go to azpm.org to view the question-and-answer session.
Will Professor Chomsky be able to sign my book?
No, there will not be a book signing. However, you can purchase Chomsky’s most recent books, “Propaganda and the Public Mind” and “Masters of Mankind: Essays & Lectures, 1969-2013“ with a signature plate at the UA Bookstore.
