In a campaign that's seemingly geared to gather Marana residents' support for the town to control its own wastewater facilities, the town will hold two informational open houses on the issue.
The first open house will be at 5 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Marana Municipal Complex, 11555 W. Civic Center Drive, followed by another at 6 p.m. Feb. 11 at Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. Library, 7800 N. Schisler Drive.
Marana is negotiating a settlement with Pima County that would result in the town owning and operating the wastewater system, pending voter approval in an election conducted by mail March 12. Ballots will be sent starting Feb. 14.
