A semi-truck was destroyed by fire in a parking area on Tucson's northwest-side Sunday afternoon.
Drivers on North La Cholla Boulevard reported seeing a large cloud of smoke in the air around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Capt. Adam Goldberg, a Northwest fire spokesman said in a news release.
Crews found one truck engulfed in flames and another truck beginning to catch fire in the parking area of Desert Trucking, 4235 N. La Cholla Boulevard, the release said.
The fire was brought under control with 14 minutes.
The first truck was destroyed and the second was damaged.
Damage to both truck is estimated at $80,000, the release said
Nobody was injured.
