The opening of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona's Las Milpitas De Cottonwood Community Farm will be Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Farm is located at 2405 S. Cottonwood Lane - on Cottonwood Lane on the Santa Cruz River, south of Silverlake Road.
Opening day festivities will include food, music and a chance to learn how the community farm works.
The Las Milpitas De Cottonwood is a cooperative project of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, City High School and community residents. It is funded by food bank and the Pima County Health Department via the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
