The Tucson chapter of American Gold Star Mothers is seeking donations to provide wreaths for the Wreaths Across America ceremony, which will be held at 10 a.m., Dec. 15 at Evergreen Cemetery.
Evergreen Cemetery is the resting place of 13,500 veterans. Last year's ceremony provided 488 wreaths.
Wreaths Across Amercia's mission is to place wreaths on the graves of all veterans for the holidays.
Each wreath is $15. Donations can be made online at wreathsacrossamerica.org or by calling Sheron Jones at 682-8131. If making a donation online, use the group ID number AZGSM004.
The Gold Star Mothers will have an information booth at the Veterans Day parade, and will be selling wristbands for $3 each or 2 for $5. Proceeds go toward purchasing wreaths.
