A Tucson man is facing voyeurism charges after police say they found a spy cam at the University of Arizona that taped women changing clothes and using the bathroom.
Bryan Wong, 24, was arrested Friday on suspicion of voyeurism and video recording without consent, said Sgt. Juan Alvarez, a UA police spokesman.
In February staffers at the Ina Gittings dance building told police of a white box that had been mounted on a wall next to a paper dispenser in the women’s locker room, according to court documents. There was no pattern to the days when the box would be in place.
Staff members later learned the device was a camera made to look like a motion detector, the documents said. It had been positioned to view all the stalls and some of the shower area.
The spy cam reappeared April 21 in the women’s bathroom of the Stevie Eller Dance Studio.

Police viewed the tape and realized the camera had been mounted in five different locations within the building and showed women changing and using the bathroom.
The tape also showed a man holding the camera and mounting it on the wall while leaning forward and looking into the lens.
Wong is not a UA student and is no longer in custody, police said.
