A Shred-A-Thon event will take place this weekend in Northwest Tucson.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department will provide free drive-thru shredding services Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd.
People can drive up to an attendant who will take loose, stapled, or folded documents, and shred them on-site, said Deputy Jason Ogan, a department spokesman.
Business documents, cassettes, CDs, and credit cards will not be accepted, he said.
Other Shred-A-Thon events will take place in March, May, August, September and October.
