Many newlyweds feel like they're walking on air at their wedding, but not quite like Tucson couple Erica Durham and Justin Roesch.
They got married at 10,000 feet on a Southwest Airlines flight from Denver to Tucson on Sunday night.
A flight attendant announced the start of the brief ceremony by asking the couple to push their call buttons, and the wedding - of course - ended with a kiss.
Durham wore a lacy white sundress; Roesch wore a light blue button-up shirt.
Once the plane landed, a flight attendant asked everyone to remain seated while the newlyweds stood for a kiss, which drew applause from the other 135 passengers, and a few teasing remarks like, "Where's the cake?"
The couple met about three years ago when Roesch moved to Tucson to be a chief resident at University of Arizona Medical Center and Durham came to Tucson to visit a friend, who was also a resident.

They met at Gentle Ben's, and the next day went hiking together.
Roesch said he saw "something amazing about her." Durham said she "thought he was kind of crazy" to pursue her because she lived in Denver at the time.
They started a long-distance relationship, with Durham taking that Southwest flight to Tucson every two or three weeks.
She moved to Tucson about a year ago so they could try a "short-distance relationship," she said, and she got a job as a nurse at UMC. He proposed in January.
While they technically tied the knot somewhere above the state of Colorado - their marriage license says 10,000 feet above Pueblo, and a flight attendant signed as witness - they plan to have the ceremony, the rings, the vows and the whole works in Paris in September.
