A Military-Community Relations Committee public meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Manning House, 450 W. Paseo Redondo.

Old American flags sought for disposal
Wanted: used or worn American flags for proper disposal.

June 14 is Flag Day, and Casas Adobes Elks Lodge No. 2663 and the American Legion's Casas Adobes Post No. 73 are preparing for ceremonies.
Flags that are torn, tattered or faded can be dropped off from 3 to 9 p.m. daily at the Elks Lodge, 4684 N. Highway Drive, between West Ruthrauff and Wetmore roads.
The post properly disposes of an average of 100 flags each year.
