The next phase of the name change at the football stadium in Orchard Park is underway as New Era Field signs are being removed.
The Buffalo-based headwear and apparel company announced July 15 that it had asked the Bills to release it from its naming rights agreement, meaning the stadium will no longer be called New Era Field.
The arrangement was scheduled to run through 2022.
A new name for the stadium has yet to be determined, and the team might not have a naming rights partner this season, given the economic climate and tight timeline.
On their website, the Bills have changed references to “New Era Field” to “The Stadium.”
