The people of Littletown felt ignored. Located near Interstate 10 and South Craycroft Road, the isolated community of about 100 homes just wanted a few amenities for its area, things like street signs and a park. On Aug. 1, 1973, one of their wishes came true when a recreation center opened. Augie Acuña, of the Pima County Parks and Recreation Department, put out the welcoming sign for the new center, which had a pool table and other equipment.
