The recipient of this week's Ben's Bell is Linda Becerril, who works for the nonprofit Donor Network of Arizona, which procures organs for transplant.
She was nominated by her employee Allison Boykin, who wrote: "Linda wants those around her to feel welcome and comfortable and is always willing to go the extra mile to make this happen. She has such an eloquent way about her that makes others feel that they are wanted and valued.
"When someone is failing, she believes in reflecting on what she may or may not have contributed to their development rather than focusing on what that individual may have done wrong. In this world, it is such a relief to see that there are people out there like Linda that will not give up on others on the first little bump.
"Linda constantly has an upbeat attitude. It is refreshing to see that someone can set aside the negativities of the world and find the positives on a daily basis."

Becerril, the hospital development manager, said the nature of the work makes it easy to be kind.
"We're meeting families at their worst time, and they're being incredibly generous," she said. "We have a wonderful job. We really make a difference in people's lives, and that spirit carries through."
She learned her management style from a former boss.
"Mentors are a huge deal. One of the best bosses I had … he was a really good example to follow. If someone made a mistake that could be corrected, then it wasn't a big deal. He didn't make you nervous. He coached and empowered you."
Said Boykin of her boss: "She's always got this perspective of slowing down and thinking, 'How can I make this better for everyone?' "
