A woman struck while trying to walk across West Ajo Way on Jan. 27 has died, police say.Â
The Tucson Police Department was notified Saturday that Nancy Rivera, 43, died of the injuries she sustained.
Rivera and another pedestrian, who was slightly behind her, were trying to cross West Ajo in the 1200 block at about 7 p.m.Â
Rivera, who was not in a marked or implied crosswalk, was struck by a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. Investigators determined the vehicle's 19-year-old driver was not speeding nor impaired.
Rivera was the only person injured.
No charges or citations have been issued.Â
