If your commute takes you past the Sam Levitz Furniture store at North Pantano and East Broadway Friday, you can easily start your holiday giving early.
A Sun Tran bus will be parked there from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to collect necessities for Pima Council on Aging clients who are homebound. The seniors need new towels, toiletry items, smoke alarms, night lights and more.
The Stuff-the-Bus event is a partnership of KGUN 9 news and Sun Tran. In 10 years of hosting Stuff-the-Bus events, Sun Tran has collected more than 100,000 pounds of food, $105,000 in cash, and countless toys and clothing and personal items for various organizations.
Sam Levitz is located at 100 N. Pantano Road.
