More than 5,000 Tucson Electric Power customers on the south side lost power this morning, but service was back on by 11:30 a.m.
Affected areas spanned from East Ajo Way and Interstate 19 to East Valencia Road and South Campbell Avenue.
The outage, which started around 10:40 a.m., was apparently caused by a train car that made contact with a low-hanging tele-communication line that pulled poles and damaged power lines near East Ajo Way and South Park Avenue.
