Up-and-coming pop star Jer Coons will perform Friday evening at the Vail Theatre of the Arts, 10701 E. Mary Ann Cleveland Way.
Coons hails from Middlebury, Vt., which he describes as "the middle of nowhere." But some of his videos have been viewed more than 100,000 times on YouTube, and his music was featured in Hollister stores in June.
Armed with catchy melodies, boyish good looks and the ability to connect with audiences, Coons is definitely going places.
His show will be preceded by a performance by Vail's own up-and-coming singer/songwriter, Alisha Peru. Peru has appeared on KGUN-TV's "The Morning Blend" and is a finalist in the Arizona Daily Star's 2011 Battle of the Bands.
The concert will run from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased at www.vtota.org or for $20 cash or check at the door.
