A two-engine private plane slid off the runway at Tucson International Airport this morning, but the pilot and the passenger walked away unharmed.
The Cessna 310 was attempted to land at about 11 a.m. when its landing gear collapsed, said Allen Kenitzer with the Federal Aviation Administration Office of Communications.
The names were not released, said David Hatfield with the Tucson Airport Authority.
The runway, mostly used by general aviation and small airplanes, was briefly closed as the aircraft was towed away. The incident did not affect commercial airline flights.
The FAA will investigate the incident, Kenitzer said.
