Tucson's mariachi music weekend wraps up with Mass performance Sunday

• 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday — Fiesta de Garibaldi at Jacomé Plaza, 101 N. Stone Ave. A full day of mariachi music and Mexican food. The event is set to be reminiscent of Mexico City's Plaza Garibaldi, often called the "center of gravity" for the mariachi and folklorico. Tickets are $25. • Noon Sunday — Mariachi Mass at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. A Catholic Mass fused with the mariachi culture. Local mariachi and folklorico performers are part of the event, which includes the release of white doves at the end of the service. Admission is free.
