Parker Canyon Lake and the Lakeview Campground southwest of Sierra Vista will remain closed at least until Monday because of bear activity.
Several black bears have been spotted in the campground and vicinity during the last few days, forcing the closure of the lake and campgound.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department is planning to trap and relocate the bears elsewhere, according to Mark Hart, spokesman for the department.
The black bears are attracted by human food and garbage, which may be present throughout the campground, marina and homes in the area.
A black bear was found several years ago in a tree in the Huachuca Mountains near Sierra Vista.
